It is not straightfoward, becuase this function is not broken. The IPS file needs to be in the same directory as your saves and srms, not the ROMs. Also, the Ips shouldn't have the same same as the .zip file, but as the ROM file inside the zip. Alternatively, just place the IPS inside the .zip with...

Hmm...i thought it's pretty straightforward.

I tried playing a rom...say '123', actual rom is '123.smc' zipped as '123.zip' with patch '123.ips' put in the same dir as the rom, but game is not patched when i tried playing it.

P.S. 'auto-patch' is ticked.
