ZSNES board

THere's no such option included when I go to the properties menu.

How do I set it to run in 16 bit color?

I have directx 9.0c and I tried this and I'm still getting the error.

It says this when I try to load up ZSNES and there's just a black screen and when I ctrl=alt=tab out there's a window saying

IDirectDraw7::SetDisplayMode Failed.

And yes I am new so please don't flame me. I tried going to properites and running it in 640x480, but no avail. Anyone know the problem?
