2b. Mice [up to 16]: up to three axes (Z, aka scroll wheel, is pretty useless though for the SNES), and up to 8 buttons (though the core APIs for both RawInput and Xlib only provide the first five button states.) So you can only really use 5 of the 8? If so one cannot map all snes controller button...

I now allow up to sixteen keyboards, sixteen mice and sixteen joypads to be uniquely identified and independently mappable. Awesome! Some questions: 1. These (could) in theory all work at the same time? or is there a real limit. 2. What is the button and axis limit now with these changes? (per devi...

@All: PlayStation pressure sensitive controllers only work if you have a convert that supports these buttons (almost none of them do). @Byuu: I doubt a xbox360 controller is really that expensive. Here in NL, with our massive import rights(at least 14%) and tax(19%) the wired one is 40$ and the wire...

That's basically what i thought. If you can test for button types i suggest doing so. All consoles/Arcade cabinets do this anyway. Try it with the N64 or PS2, if you hold the analogue stick like half way to the left, and then turn on the unit, keep holding it till the game starts to load. The stick ...

Awesome I will have to test this with my PS2 controllers. When i press the button in the middle, the settings change dramatically, the d-pad changes from i think 4 buttons to a hat. Do i understand correctly that you currently do not support the pressure sensitive buttons, instead treating them as p...

I'm thinking about re-ordering the list from: Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B, X, Y, L, R, Select, Start to: Up, Down, Left, Right, Y, X, B, A, L, R, Select, Start Reason being that it's more natural with the layout of the real controller. Agree or disagree? I agree that the new ordering is more natura...

UPX error's are very common.
Just upload the false positive to the virusscanner creator.
when in doubt you can always upload to http://www.VirusTotal.com

I don't know if this would work, but: 1. print a square of all 4 colors at known values to a sheet of superwhite paper 2. put that sheet next to the controller and put both that and the controller on a good color scanner 3. use broad adjustments on the resulting image until the sheet values match w...

Regarding NHL 94, I actually remember that game's title screen being hclock sensitive. However, I thought your recent scanline improvements solved that. NHL '94, Jurassic Park, Battle Blaze, Dai Kaijuu Monogatari II et al are sensitive to ppu.hack.render_scanline_position. We use 512, NHL '94 works...

This command could lead to an even smaller file: -zc1-9 -zm1-9 -zs0-3 -f0-5 On top of the results the file size could be reduced even further with: http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/comp-readme.html Use command -4 PS, i suggest waiting with this until the final graphic and logo are done, as it coul...

New WIP. I added FirebrandX's controller image (let me know if you don't have the WIP link and want to check it out, FB.) I also added Derrick's SVG logo for now. The contest thing isn't over yet, and I like DMM's the best so far (sans the aliasing issues.) But the auto-resizing to exactly what I w...

[boolean] Warn on exit with SRAM-backed game loaded If you're going to have it, it should probably just be for any game. What's the difference between closing the emulator on the last stage of Space Megaforce and an hour after your last save in FFVI? Yeah i agree. But the message could be different...
