I think I was using the smartjoy USB PC adapter. It supported up to 4 Xbox controllers at once and supported the rumble. I had some issues with deadzone calibration for the analog sticks, but overall, it worked really well. However, it didn't seem the N64 plugin would ever send much of a jolt. Or ma...

Ah, that's a good idea. Not sure how it could be done since it seems few SNES games separate the chanels it uses music and sound effects for. If I could find an approach to keep the sound effects and replace the background music with something else I certainly would (I'd start with Pilotwings. It ha...

No, actually I stole it from the Gens author that added the Streets of Rage 2 force feedback driver. I don't even know how he did it. I read about it a couple years ago and was wondering how this might work. I thought it would be a cool addition to add to ZSNES since everyone using the Xbox port wil...

Re: zsnes win / xbox save file compatibility?
I'm new to the emulation world, so please forgive me if the answer to my question is obvious... I've been playing thru FF3 in zsnes under windows. I saved my game and would like to pick up where I left off on my xbox. I have zsnes xbox 1.4 loaded on my xbox hard drive, but when I run FF3, it acts a...

Here's an example of the lockaholic mod syndrome... ... Topics are locked with very little logical obvious reasoning. If people aren't fighting, or violating board rules, there is no good reason to lock a topic. It certainly does seem at times things are locked just because they don't agree with th...

HQx modes are probably out of the question then... well, maybe HQ2x might be possible but I suspect if the NTSC filter is not acceptable performancewise, then the other filters are not ideal (of course you'll have to test/judge for yourself). The filter that consumes the least resources is interpol...

I havn't looked at the sources for the NTSC filter, but if it as simple as enabling 2xSai, Hq2X, etc...then I'll add it, If there is significant work involved in getting it to display, then I'll likely pass (or at least bump it to the bottom of priorities). There are lots of filters on current Xbox ...

do you need any beta testers? Thanks, but I plan on releasing a beta for the masses to test somewhere around the 17th how r u gonna call that emu? ZsnexBox Any plans to implement the NTSC filter? I doubt it. Don't think there would be any point since I beleive the requirements are far higher than a...

I ported Zsnes to the Xbox. I have a few questions
I figured I ask here since the people with the most knowledge of the code read/post here. I have ported Zsnes to the Xbox and I have several questions. I'm trying to determine what "startup" variables to set since I won't be using the Zsnes.cfg file. Setting the sound information is easy, ...

I want to use VS Ide because it is able to build executables in the Xbox format. It's probablly possible for me to use a makefile to do this, but I have no clue what it's doing to build an .xbe verses a .exe. Maybe I could figure that out and still use the makefile.ms with modifications. When you sa...

Lots of questions about compiling (VS 2003)
I need a little help with compilling zsnes with vs studio 2003. I'm not sure where to begin, so I thought I'd ask here. Here's is what I think (and tried), but I wanted to know what steps I'm missing. 0) Build the zlib, png libraries and download the Directx sdk. 1) Create a new project. 2) Add all ...
