I reinstalled DOS and Set Blaster Variables.

Sound and Video are fine. My mouse is working with the USB to Mouse port adapter. How do I set the volume in DOS mode? It is working but it is very faint.

Memory Issues

I haven't tried disabling MMX support. That might do it. I'm running the latest version. I just downloaded it about two days ago after downloading the FreeDOS distrib. I remember how to use DOS (from expert back in the day to a normy nowadays), Linux I'm still learning.

You're an antogonist...

Anyways... I also have a small slice of my hard drive partitioned to FreeDOS 1.0 which is running for other emulators such as Genecyst, Nesticle, both versions x.xx which are perfect, Callus 0.42 running smoothly... It's only ZSNES that's not functioning properly under FreeDOS. I have CWSDPMI runnin...

What about sound?

It works when I play Doom 2 but for nothing else. I don't get it. How can I get the driver from Doom 2 to work for all of DOS?

Compatibility Issue with FreeDOS 1.0.

I don't think ZSNES is compatible with FreeDOS because it will load ZSNES but once you try to load a game it crashes. Any idea on the culprit behind this? CWSDPMI is already loaded.

I don't know if you read my FreeDOS post...

That's a mess too right now. haha I miss Windows. Lousy Microsoft bastards. Why is it so goddamn expensive? I hope Linux gets easier. For now I'll do some googling.

This is where I disagree with Piracy.

Those systems are obsolete and I don't agree with Nintendo. As far as Microsoft is concerned; they're cracking down on their pirated OSs and I just don't want anything to do with Microsoft. Plus Sega and Hudson don't make systems anymore.

What about ZSNES crashing my computer after loading a ROM???

Ubuntu

I ordered ubuntu because the iso wasn't burning properly. I used Nero but... back to Linux. I'm currently using Mandriva. It is the only one so far to complete the installation. FREEBSD and PCBSD didn't work on my system.

Are all Linux programs installed this way? I mean isn't there anything automated like in Windows?

FreeDos 1.0 issues with IBM 300 PL (drivers)

I recently downloaded the distribution and installed it. However ZSNES won't even start and I'm also having sound card and video card issues. Everything worked fine when I had windows but I had to erase it because it was copied from someone. I don't want WareZ on my PC. I remember back in the day I ...

How the hell do you install ZSNES on linux. I don't use the command line. I use Mandriva. I know nothing of linux commands. Is there a way to install it like you do on windows?
