For a thought, if your friend is not behind a router, you should let them host ideally. Having a router requires you to tinker around with port forwarding, firewalls, and so many other issues... Well, he fixed his router to work with the game... but there is something that bugs me. I forwarded the ...

So if I get this straight... All I do is send him my Public IP, and set up the server with MY public IP, and it should work? I've tried that already...

192.168.x.x means its on a router/LAN. You need to use your true IP to connect to. And you'll have to forward the proper port. If you read my last reply. I already forwarded it. And so did my friend. So my "True" Ip I assume would be my public ID? Public ID? What? I'm talking about your I...

http://img441.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mypointofviewkm7.png This would be my view from my computer. As the host. As you can see I am about to start the server. I would enter MY! Private ID. Which I found using run commands. This is the screen that turned up afterward... http://img128.imageshack.us...

You can only load the rom after you connect. You'll see a window where you can chat and set the netplay settings. You load the rom as normal from there and if the other guy has the same rom, the game begins. I see... problem is, it NEVER loads when I starts a server... I guess thats why I kinda nee...

Well.

Both of us are using the same ZSNES Version. 1.36.

But maybe the problem is I'm not opening the rom before I start the connection... could that be the problem?

EDIT: That and hes from the United Kingdom.

And if I made a mistake, please correct me. The emulator is not called zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator). I said ZSNES. Look. I don't know if you want a fight. But I don't. The guide I read doesn't detail on connection, but it did help me with setting it up. I just want t...

Mmk, I read the whole guide. I edited my router, and my Port number is 7845. Now what I think I was suppose to do was put in the port number. And I put the nickname as ZSNES. and I filled it with my ip using IP chicken. I then clicked "Start server" Or something like that. And a message th...

I don't want any trouble. I just want detailed steps to enable netplay for ZSNES.

Connection Problems.

I'm new here. Anyway. Me and my friend wanted to try netplay. Here is what I did: I started ZSNES, and created a server. So it says waiting for client or something like that. He started ZSNES, entered my IP, and clicked Connect to server or something like that. And it says Connecting to server and w...
