can run directly from iso or bin/cue.
I use iso/flac or iso/ogg, for space reasons.
It's easy to convert, and just modify the cue sheet from WAV to VORBIS.

Hi dfreer. I ended up using the binaries posted by Nach, they work fine. Nice that you are packing something up though. I tried bsnes, too much for my laptop, snes9x is too clunky. ZSNES for me all the way, plus using it for 10 or so years on multiple platforms it grew on me (and I love making cheat...

XGL is deprecated, use AIGLX if you can instead (you might not be able to if you are stuck with proprietary video drivers, but I wouldn't know...) Is zsnes set to use opengl (the video mode you've picked within zsnes has an O in it.) Does it still eat CPU for breakfast even before a game is loaded? ...
