Look, if I disable Vsync, my screen CUTS the image in two. How could I explain this... is just like this: http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/9053/novsyncih3.th.jpg Ah, video tearing. It does suck. I've found with my monitor I notice it far more when moving vertically on a 2D game. Yeah, that pic is...

Hi, Hah, I was just going to ask if you monitor is set to some wierd refresh rate. Can you change it to 60 Hz? Otherwise someone with Nvidia card may help you. stay safe, AamirM I can choose between 59.89 and 61. The thing is, now with 61 I can play without sound skips, with Vsync and Turbo options...

Hi, @ProtoKnux: Can't you just disable Vsync? :) . Or disable vsync and enter fullscreen. Maybe some thing heavy is running in background which is stealing CPU time. Try diabling some background thing that you might be running (like anitvirus etc..). Also try playing with some video card settings (...

That's a stupid idea since that usually requires a reinstall of the OS (for 2K/XP, and maybe 9x, IIRC, this could be worked around, but don't expect good stuff to happen). Although, Vista seems to require ACPI enabled for installation of the OS. Don't plan on it working. although vista may have a r...

I don't know if Turbo Mode works with Vsync or not, I just don't notice any tearing with them both enabled. So Vsync has to be still working when I activate Turbo Mode. Not in Regen, no. VSync + Turbo Mode doesn't work. When you activate Turbo Mode with VSync enabled, nothing should happen. Well th...

Do you have VSync enabled in Regen when you enable Turbo Mode? If so, Turbo Mode doesn't work with VSync. Now, about the graphics card issue(s). I'd ask what card(s) everyone else uses successfully, and pick one based on the opinions (or if there's multiple people using the same card). :) Yeah, I h...

1.5 GB of ram? three sticks or two? No, now I have 2 gb of DDR2800 RAM, a different processor, a different mobo with a different chipset, and even a different sound card. I have tried with a Radeon x550 and the results were the saaameee..... I can't think of my hardware being a piece of shit, every...

Ok guys, I've discovered my integrated realtek hd sound card has a high latency and I have soluted that with a CMI8738, is a piece of crap but still I don't have latency problems with it. But... I have still the same problem. Explain that, jesus christ... it doesn't make any sense. Ok, I have no IRQ...

Hi, @ProtoKnux: You did change the mobo, right? stay safe, AamirM Yep, right now I have a Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3. The results are exactly the same, so... the only thing I suspect it is: the graphics card. But I won't buy another one. It just runs fine and is not old/crappy enough to have that kind o...

And when I change the filter, it crashes. Creepy Using Regen? Not using a graphics plugin past a scale 2x right? No, no, using Regen it just does the same thing (frame skips) not at the same rate but it just does the same thing. I meant Gens. Regen is a great emulator, but it does that. I don't mea...

Garghhgdhh.h.... I'm pissed off... same results! But now I have discovered something. I have tried the latest official drivers from NVIDIA and the results with Gens were different than the XG ones (modified drivers, they just run better on 3D games, I can confirm that). Yeah, they were different, th...

64bit os's(expecially vista) is a LOT faster when it comes to 2d stuff. And which faster i mean up to 10x. where did you come up with that information..? cite sources, please. I'm just wondering where this crappy info comes from. Really, it's just a funny as Quad-Core means stuff is 4x faster. And ...

Hi, Well, since you have that PC right now can you test something? Can you enable VSync while in being windowed mode and enable turbo mode (backspace key) and see if it creates any frame skips/sound skips? stay safe, AamirM I have tried that, and I have even more frame skips and now sound skips (I ...

http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/utilities/AMD_Processor_Driver_1320053.zip Try installing this driver. I don't think the cool n quiet driver will help in this case. That's exactly what I've tried yesterday, and it doesn't help a bit. Anyway, I'm going to upgrade my PC tomorrow, at leas...

Her mobo is an ASUS A8N-VM CSM (GF6150/NF430 chipset). Haven't had any issues with either the onboard video or with an add-on GF 7600GS across multiple driver revisions. Memory is 2x 1GB Corsair DDR400 (CL2). Audio is whatever's onboard (see support.asus.com, i'm too lazy to look it up ATM). Then i...
