Sorry for bumping this up, but I managed to get it to work in the past while running in Windowed mode. I kind of forgot how I did it though. But basically fraps only recognizes "D3D" modes, or triple-buffering programs. Triple buffering requires full screen, so that's not an option in the ...

I tried the x264 option, and it created the avi file fine. It has video and sound showing up correctly in Media Player Classic. (Using the K-lite Codec Pack).
