Re: lordmissus' off his meds thread
To cut off the inevitable question: I am hiding because I like reading his secret forums due to A. the occasional advance in emulation developments. B. byuu and others( Especially byuu and D--) being dumbasses behind closed doors(Then she lets her hair lay down). I have two ISPs byuu. XD My lordmis...

I will say that the blue outline around everything in D--'s logo is a mistake. There should be two options, one with a transparent background and black text, and one with a dark background with white text. The sfc logo is currently shorter than the text, it needs to be the opposite, the text is qui...

EDIT: In case anyone wants an explanation... D-- IS D-Boy, right? The secret is out? That's the most obvious trolling I have seen in a long time. http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/8219/banner93572.png That's actually cool. I like what you did with the Super Famicom logo. At least, I think I do. I sa...

Nope, not impressed. The only reason it looks good here is because of it being thumbnailed, and colors blending as a result of whatever resizer was used. Clicking on it for fullsize makes it less impressive. Also, by the way, there's a distinct reason I said above 'except logos' when I asked for an...

In Re vectorized logos: It just looks weird to see people try to vector things that have no need for vectors. You're so right. I mean who on earth would ever need to create a logo as a vector. It's not like it's something you would want to be able to display at multiple sizes with no loss in image q...

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/3884/bsnes.png Since no one here has any idea how to follow byuu's simple request, design typefaces or create vector graphics, I went and did the hard work for you. I also went ahead and made an SVG icon for bsnes so every time Microsoft updates byuu doesn't have to b...

The Fulong 2F is cheaper than the Yeeloong 8089A. Actually. I checked earlier and it is about 1,800 yuan, some $260. However, unless you speak Chinese, you really should consider going with a Gdium. Lemote's products are kind of difficult for English speakers to access since their English forum has ...

At the moment you would need to contact Lemote. You might also look into the Beijing Linux Users Group. The vice president Pockey Lam and some of the other members work for the company producing the Gdium, which is more targeted toward foreign users (Lemote offers NO English support). Your current o...

Well, compiled and profiled. bsnes gets a peak of 23 fps on the Loongson 2F at 796MHz and an average of 18 fps. I did not try it with the CPU overclocked to its maximum speed of 1GHz. The most interesting point is that the Xv driver works how it should, with absolutely no speed penalty no matter how...

Let's think about this: The instruction set of the 6502 is the 6502 instruction set. The instruction set of the Z80 is the Z80 instruction set. The instruction set of the 68000 is the 68000 instruction set. The instruction set of the 486 is the x86 instruction set. The instruction set of the MIPS is...

longson... isn't that the new chinese CPU that's getting a lot of attention lately? It's a 32-bit MIPS processor, right? EDIT: Yes, I remember now. Derrick Sobodash talked about it on his website: http://cinnamonpirate.com/2009/01/entering-dragon-landthe-loongson-laptop/ Hi to you, too. I guess you...

What can I do to help with Loongson support?
There are already five laptops out with the Loongson 2F CPUs. While I don't except any of them will ever be able to run bsnes (unless you make that speed-friendly version), the Loongson 3 due out next year might be able to. The instruction set will be the same, with the 3 also supporting x86 transla...
