Hey, if it means we actually get a finished product instead of a buggy beta pushed on consumers AS a finished product? I'm all for the delay!

Re: Blaster Master and Crystalis
Hard time deciding between Blaster Master and Crystalis. I'd go with Crystalis. Blaster Master has a bit of room for improvement. 'S a few places it's possible to get the tank almost irretrievably stuck without suiciding, and late-game there's a room or two where you can omit the almost and without...

Re: Something about Cave Story and a prinny
I agree. Phenomenal gameplay aside, Cave Story's most memorable features are its neo-retro visuals and music. They create a very distinctive style, and really add to the feel of the game. Swapping the old-school blocky look for bad 2.5D cannot end well.

Re: SNES Central articles of note - Various prototypes
Neat! I'd like to get my hands on that Cybernator proto, if only to see if some of the stuff that got axed as it made its way across the pacific is still in tact.

Re: Official 2010 Black Friday Lootz thread
I bought a set of tiny screwdrivers for $1. At the dollar store. So they weren't even on sale. I honestly had an immediate need of them on Wednesday and that need has since passed, but I figured that since I never had tiny phillips head screwdrivers when I needed them, I'd be better off buying a che...

I did a bunch of reading on The Last Remnant to figure out why my guys sucked. I started over, and now I'm kicking major ass. Almost done with disc 1, I think I just finished the last of the sidequests, time to do some guild shit!

Why is it that it took until Soul Blade for someone to make a decent medieval sword tournament fighter game? Interesting article nonetheless.

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
it's marvel, unless you were making some kind of play.FFXIII (PS3) - i wanted it on 360 initially, but it's visually inferior by quite a bit, which was sad. it's actually quite fun to play. not the best FF i've played, but that's a tough scale to grade against. as far as jrpg's go lately, it ranks ...

Re: Looking for manuals for used games
If completeness of package is of any concern to you, you can usually find manuals on ebay for a couple of bucks.
Try these sellers:

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
I've been playing it on SSF w/ BIOS, and so far so good. I wouldn't say it's flawless - I've noticed some extremely minor graphical hiccups every once in a very great while, the sound emulation stutters a bit on spoken text, and every so often the swoosh noise it makes at the end of battle doesn't p...
