ZSNES board

ok i will tell you everything i know about what i have done and you can help me if there is a error i am making. 1 i downloaded the dos version of zsnes 2 i extracted the fles 3 i dowqnloaded a rom, final fight 4 i opened the game 5 i played it 6 pick a state 7 i saved the state 8 i left the game 9 ...

do i apply the change to the folder only or also the files in the folder ?

every time i click read only to un-check it, i apply it and then hit ok but, then when i go back into it read only is checked again

what do you meen by read only ? where i am saving the games is in a emphty folder on my desktop..does this folder need to be in a special place ?

when i saved the game it still dosent go to the folder ??...i don't even know if it is saving it anywhere

i am using the DOS version of ZSNES and I have my roms on a cd and when I save the game it works until I leave and go to open it back up. When I go to open it, it's not there. I think it is because they are on a cd so I want to some how Re-direcrect the save to a floppy disk or just to my computer. ...
