Kind of wish that this hadn't gotten any media attention. It's been an incredibly great thing for deal-shopping, despite what all the press have said. The reason is quite simple: the kiosks let you buy items in-stock at the website's warehouse at in-store clearance prices. I've gotten a number of bo...

Not to rain on everyone's parade, but why does everyone praise WIP releases? It's very easy to use ZGet and SVN to compile them yourself. It helps to be able to view progress in manageable chunks. For the average person, it's overkill to update every day. It's may also be somewhat unclear to people...

The American flag jpg mp3 on the page does show that it can be somewhat interesting to listen to.

As a note, some of us actually LIKE that the emulator keeps on running in a window when you tab away. When combined with ZSNES not detecting button release events if they happen after you switch away, it makes it convenient for letting RPGs level-grind in the background while working on other things...

Yes, it's amusing -- a friend of mine sent me a link to a paper that "I" had written a few days ago.

Another option might be to display the preview image for the most recent savestate for a game. While it wouldn't help to get an idea of things that you've never seen, it would give a visual indicator for things that you've looked at before and wouldn't require having anything distributed with zsnes.

There, now you've seen one. Vertical Refresh: 50-160 Hz
That's not that uncommon on most 19" monitors.

In the 'easy as hell bypass solutions' record: Load your game. Wait 5 second. Reset the game. [Using the Game -> Reset or a key set in Misc. -> GUI Keys] TADAAAA !! No text. It's no real fix, but it's an answer to your 'problem'. From what he's said, I don't think it's a complete solution -- you st...

What about 1400x1050 modes for people with laptops that use 1400x1050 as their native resolution? If I understand correctly about DirectDraw, the restricted video-mode menu is a holdover from the DOS days, and it shouldn't be too hard to add a few modes (but not to restructure the menu - I've heard...

The fact that the ZSNES WIPs operates under 99/100% CPU usage while in the GUI loop has been discussed to death already. Prior examples have shown it to hurt nothing. Other full-screen programs (especially games) do this, and they also do not hurt anything. The NT kernel automatically allows applic...

also,I do not see the problem of making a censored version of each translation. it should take less than an hour. I'm not so sure you understand exactly how mentally taxing romhacking can be. Even with GUI-enhanced tools (that you must write yourself), a translator must pick through the script BY H...
