Kind of wish that this hadn't gotten any media attention. It's been an incredibly great thing for deal-shopping, despite what all the press have said. The reason is quite simple: the kiosks let you buy items in-stock at the website's warehouse at in-store clearance prices. I've gotten a number of bo...

I seem to remember the McKids game for NES actually being a somewhat decent platformer with a few unique elements. At only $3.99 each, I'll bite.

Not to rain on everyone's parade, but why does everyone praise WIP releases? It's very easy to use ZGet and SVN to compile them yourself. It helps to be able to view progress in manageable chunks. For the average person, it's overkill to update every day. It's may also be somewhat unclear to people...

The video card seems rather weak though.
Radeon 9600 should be plenty fine for that -- I run at HQ4X w/ a slightly faster CPU and a GF4 440 Go (basically the equivalent of a GF2).

Of course there's also this idea for listening to them:

The American flag jpg mp3 on the page does show that it can be somewhat interesting to listen to.

As a note, some of us actually LIKE that the emulator keeps on running in a window when you tab away. When combined with ZSNES not detecting button release events if they happen after you switch away, it makes it convenient for letting RPGs level-grind in the background while working on other things...

Then again, that's true for every system, modern or old. The only way you could truly have "non-repeating" music is if the game would generate pseudo-semi-random music notes. While technically possible, the end result would sound like crap anyway. Actually the end result isn't too bad if y...

3) Don't use the device that is broken! Go to radioshack with $10.49 + applicable tax, buy an adapter called "PSX to USB" and plug a Playstation 2 controller in. Windows will do the drivers automatically. It's a great adapter. I heard those aren't so good. I can second what snkcube said, ...

Another option might be to display the preview image for the most recent savestate for a game. While it wouldn't help to get an idea of things that you've never seen, it would give a visual indicator for things that you've looked at before and wouldn't require having anything distributed with zsnes.

There, now you've seen one. Vertical Refresh: 50-160 Hz

That's not that uncommon on most 19" monitors.

The fact that the ZSNES WIPs operates under 99/100% CPU usage while in the GUI loop has been discussed to death already. Prior examples have shown it to hurt nothing. Other full-screen programs (especially games) do this, and they also do not hurt anything. The NT kernel automatically allows applic...
