ZSNES board

I'm playing star ocean so would it help if I got it or is it pointless? I saved and then got a black screen with this message...it sucks for I played for a long time...

What is it and can I fix it? thanks

Nope I used the quick save button...no in game save points...so no hope I guess...

I've been playing a game for ages and now I save,restart and when I try to open state I get a black screen only...is it possible to go back to an earlier save?! Please no tell me I have to start from the beginning!
