More information woud be extremely helpful.

What kind of connection is the other person using?
Do they have a router?
Is their router configured for port forwarding?
Are you sure the port forwarding is configured correctly on your's? Theirs?
Are you using TCP or UDP? Do the settings on both ends match?

I am using zbattle, they all play eachother all the time so its just my problem.
My router is definitely configured correctly.
I didn't didnt have to do anything with TCP or UDP according to portforward.com, I just had to forward the ports onto my IP.

What ports are you forwarding and to what address on your LAN?

Try using TCP with you as the client, which doesn't require any forwarding except on the server end. If that doesn't work, try using another port below 1024.

why are we suggessting this

Anything below 1024 is private/predefined

also, to use TCP, I believe you check the use TCP instead of UDP option. However, it's been awhile since I netplayed, so I forgot. D:

In ZSNES, open the netplay menu and uncheck the box that says "use UDP instead of TCP".

I suggested it because ports below 1024 are usually allowed by ISP's that may otherwise block higher ports. If that doesn't work, then something is majorly wrong with his PC or ISP.

As far as I know, 80 and 25 would be blocked by certain ISP's, 25 being spam reasons (this is the port for SMTP) and 80 is probably because, well, maybe they don't want people running http servers off port 80. D:

in any case, * < 1024 is private/predefined, 1024 > * is open to the public for any application.

The option is 'allow udp connection' i already tried that too selected and not. I need one of you guys if I'm to test another port because Zsnes automatically opens in 7845 and trying to play someone on zbattle would be pointless.
