cannot connect

My friend and I are trying to connect via zbattle.net and direct netplay. It works fine up to the part where it says Connecting To Server/Waiting For Client. It just stays there and won't go any further.

Do you have a router or firewall?

If you are just trying to play with your friend, do yourself a favor and have both of you download this program:

http://www.hamachi.cc/download/

Download, install. Following the steps make a network and have the other person connect to it. You should now have new network IPs beginning with 5.xx.

The rest is simple. Have one of you host, and the other connect to the 5.xx hamachi IP.
