Need help with zsnes

Post by poopoo »

When playing a ROM, I can play fine, but every couple seconds the game will skip or stop really quickly, then start again.

Does anyone know how I can get this to run smoother? I'm using the windows version of zsnes.

Thanks

Maybe there's some process taking up some of your CPU time from ZSnes? Win 2k and XP pro/Win 2k3 server: CTRL+ALT+DEL, click task Manager. Win XP Home: CTRL+ALT+DEL. Once in the Task Manager, keep an eye for a process which will take CPU time from the emulator. Also, a spyware scan may do your system good. Follow Paul Bunyan's Sig for such a scanner. :P
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Neither of those did anything. Is there anything I can do with the config of zsnes to make it run smoother?

Display system specs.
Also try faster WIP versions of ZSNES (see sticky).
May 9 2007 - NSRT 3.4, now with lots of hashing and even more accurate information! Go download it.

You could check High Priority Mode in the main options of Zsnes, but I highly suggest not doing this if the problem auctually is too many programs in the background.

EDIT: Please post your system specs also.
