Post by Orange77 »

Hey, I am trying to play Secret Of Mana with my roomate, we have connected to eachother, we can chat and all but when I try to load the game it says "File not found at remote" He has the same problem when he tries to load it. What does that mean? And, how do I solve it? He has the exact same copy of the game and zsnes version :? Please anyone? Help?

Thanks a bunch guys

Filenames have to match, and it has to be in the ROM directory of the client.

hey thanks for the speedy reply,
The file names are identical I emailed him my Secret Of Mana.smc straight from where it sits. Now, when you say in the same ROM directory, does that mean that it has to be in a specific directory or just from where it sits? I don' really know what you mean by ROM directory? Sorry for the noobness...

Thanks again

To makes things simple, place zsnes in a folder in C:, like, C:\Zsnes. You can also just place your rom folder in C:, remember that when you place stuff in your documents folder, they are actually in different folders in C:.

I actually have two zsnes folders, one which I usually play and the other in C: so I can play on netplay on my lan.

Whatever he set his ROM directory to, the file must be placed there. ZSNES is not going to search his entire hard drive for it.
