Greyed out...

Post by Vigorousjammer »

Ok, so... i've read all of the stickys, and have done everything, and i've tried getting my netplay to work... I also tried searching for my problem on the forums, and it seems i'm the only one having this problem...

Every time I try to go to netplay, the "Internet" option (the only one there) is Greyed out... as in, it doesn't do anything when I click on it...

I have a Linksys WRTP54G wireless router, with broadband cable hooked up to it... and i've tried following the instructions on here: http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... G/zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator).htm

but, still nothing...

I suppose you want to know the specs of my computer:
AMD Athlon xp 2.6gighz with 1gig of SDram

I know the Rom that i'm using is mutliplayer, Secret of Mana, because i've heard people talking about it on here...

I have ZSNES set to 7845 on both TCP and UDP
ZBattle set to 4000 on UDP

I created a static IP Address, and i'm also using that... I honestly have no idea what's wrong, i'd be much appreciated if somebody could help...

oh, if it helps any I have version 1.43 of ZSNES... do I need to downgrade?

There is no 1.43 officially. You probably obtained a ZSNES WIP. Current WIPs don't have Netplay at all. You will have to use the older 1.42 or prior to be able to use Netplay.

I am having the same problem, but i am using the new 1.50, NOT A WIP.

Any ideas?

I know you had to use V1.36 for netplay before, but according to the txt's in 1.50 it works now?

I'm pretty sure netplay has not been re-enabled in 1.50

You can use 1.42 (and 1.42n) for netplay, but that desyncs more than 1.36.

I'm not having any problems with netplay, but it is interesting because the September 07 2005 WIP instead of being named a WIP version it was labeled "ZSNES VPRE 1.43" it was also the only WIP of before or after it to have netplay, why is that anyways? check it out yourself, get the WIP.

furthermore, which would be more up to date, 1.42n or this VPRE 1.43 for netplay that is.
