Alright, I gave it a go.

First off, the install is a bit "odd"

After installing I had to go to the (default) Program Files directory to execute some additional "Library files" in order for the game to run.

Once I did this the game worked ok, I was able to enter and create a character.

Once in game you are treated to some great EB tunes and an overworld that is almost exactly the same as Mother 2s. The screen can be somewhat hard on the eyes at certain points but looks ok I guess. You can customize the clothing your character wears, although at the beginning you're just in your jams.

The price for items seems to be quite high, and the shops are not in places where you would expect to find them. However, there are players online usually (8 whenever I played) and they can usually walk you through specific things.

Combat is ridiculously simplistic; I liked following other players around as they attacked critters and then dealing the final blow and thus collect all of their hard earned exp; leaving them with depleted health and myself with an inflated sense of self esteem. You can challenge players to fights apparently as well, but I didn't try this out.

I seem to get booted at random from the server every 30 mins or so as well. Luckily, whenever I log back in I am right where I was before.

This is worth a try if you really like Eb, and are still waiting for Mother3 to be translated. Great concept that needs some work to make the game a little more accessible and balanced; more downloads will likely encourage the author to work even harder at this.
