the 300

i just watched the 300. my school was doing a special sneak preview screening.

the movie definately felt like watching on comic book on fullscreen. some scenes were also very reminiscent of lord of the rings. if you're into that comic, gory pseudo-fantasy stuff, you'd probably enjoy it.

he is lucky, because he got to see it early

I was happy, when I saw the preview, if got me excited

I was happy because of the unique look and feel that it projects

The influence being that a graphic novelist was involved in production, no?

and Sin City is great, but the more the merrier eh?

what you're not understanding is that this WAS a graphic novel, written a long time ago by Frank Miller. And surprise surprise, frank miller, the author of 300 is also an executive producer to ensure that his work is translated as best as possible to the big screen. but the shocks keep coming! frank miller also wrote sin city, in fact, it's a 7 book series! Frank miller co-directed alongside robert rodriguez to ensure that his work was translated in the best way possible. i see a pattern here.....

it's not a movie trying to be a comic book just because, and neither is sin city. it's a movie trying to re-interpret the comic book.

so i'm thinking the next time you want to try and insult my intelligence, don't.
