I have been messing with VBA builds for some time and I think I finally found what ı was looking for.Although it is mainly concentrated on movie recording stuff, It has some great features that makes it stand above other builds imho.
The most importantly its performance is way better than 1.8.0 builds like official one and Vba-s.
While I get lots of lags-slowdowns and sound glitches in every other build when Hq2x applied, with this one I can get %98-99 speed with almost non-existant sound glitch*which is caused by slowdowns I think, because they are gone with 2xsai etc*
The most amazing thing for me was graphic filters called HQ(x)xS, which make a huge difference than regular HQ(x)x filters, especially in preventing blocky edges and smoothing.

What was -Even- more surprising for me was Hq2xS runs faster than regular one and creates stunning graphics without taxing my system of 2.0 ghz 512 Ram and Gf4Mx440.
Did you know about this build and filters ?

IIRC, someone else wrote it, and I'm not even sure he had permission to do so by the original author. It can be confusing in fact.creaothceann wrote:Yup.SonGoku1905 wrote:Did you know about this build and filters?

What do you mean ? Aren't both VBA and Hq(x)x filters open-source ?Deathlike2 wrote:IIRC, someone else wrote it, and I'm not even sure he had permission to do so by the original author. It can be confusing in fact.creaothceann wrote:Yup.SonGoku1905 wrote:Did you know about this build and filters?
Anyway, it seems so interesting that this filtering method gives even better results than hq3x and runs faster than regular hq2x on other builds.
For example before getting to use this one, I always used super2xsai and when I applied hq2x to SMB3 for example the result would be %75-%80 performance with garbage-very glitchy- sound. With this one it is almost silky smooth like as in 2xsai. And graphics are very neat and clean, all blockiness seems to be corrected.
Now,if someone can add sound interpolation to this one...*dreams*

I've made some search , but unfortunately I couldn't find almost any information about these on the web.
Does anyone know how can it create so good images with low resource consumption -compared to regular ones I mean-. Can you please explain shortly or give a link where I can find info on them ?
