Sound lags slightly after fast-forwarding

Post by fearpi »

I compiled ZSNES on Ubuntu 7.04 with --enable-release and --enable-libao. Sound works just fine, but after fast-forwarding, all sound is delayed by about half a second. Pressing esc to go into the menu and then continuing emulation returns sound to normal.

My specs:
2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1 GB RAM
Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01)

ZSnes sound settings:
Sound enabled
Stereo sound enabled
Rate: 32 kHz
No interpolation, no lowpass

The problem exists with -ad set to oss, alsa09, and sdl.

I'll go out on a limb here, but I believe this will probably be corrected once they finish the new sound core completely.
