MP3 Mass tagger/renamer

Post by Starman Ghost »

I need a good mp3 mass tagger and renamer. I have the mp2 OST but it's not tagged and has files names like this:

18. luminoth (temple grounds long) .mp3

Which is basically the track number followed by name and stupid traliing spaces. I need something which can can bypass(or insert the track number into the tag) and insert it into the title field en mass. Also something which can remove the stupid trailing spaces. I "could" do it manually, but it's 75 tracks and I don't really have the time. Thanks.

Even though there are many, Tag&Rename is my favorite. It is not free however.

MP3Tag. There is nothing better.

It's free, and really versatile, too.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

Tag&Rename is my favorite as well - it's got an excellent host of features, and can grab tags from both the CDDB and Amazon.com, which is extremely useful. It can also grab the art from both places (as well as amazon.jp, amazon.co.uk etc) and does a brilliant job with renaming as well as tagging.

Someone recently asked me to make NMRT citing many bugs he found with current tools.

I'm considering it, stay tuned.
May 9 2007 - NSRT 3.4, now with lots of hashing and even more accurate information! Go download it.

Thanks, I'll check these out. I just noticed in my orginal post that the board edited out the repeating spaces in the file name I wrote, but it has like 8 spaces.

And to think I used to joke that the world needed a GoodMP3 to rename and tag files properly.

I was young and foolish.

Winamp 5.5

Now Auto-tags (batches but no easy on-the fly edit yet) and gets album art (one file at a time until next ver).

Tag&Rename is perfect and works great. Does everything I need it to do.
