"Spanning the releases between version 0.715 and version 0.990, an ASM-only version was offered alongside the normal ASM+C version. Differences between sister C/A releases are marked as appropriate."
Prior to 0.700, ZSNES was always 100% assembly. After adding C and getting some complaints about requirements rising, they for 0.715 until 0.990 offered two editions. One having lower requirements the other more features (such as DSP-1 emulation).
We need to fix the text, since it isn't accurate at the moment, and implies prior to 0.715, every release was ASM+C.

# v1.28b - May 28, 2001
# v1.28 - Unknown Release Date
Where did these dates come from?
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... e_id=14321
Shows 1.28/1.28b was last updated on May 30th.
I may venture a guess that v1.28 was on May 28, 2001, while v1.28b was May 30th (or perhaps the 29th in zsKnight's timezone).

I see, BTW, ipher mirrors the old releases here:
http://files.ipherswipsite.com/zsnes/official/pre1.36/
Old ones can be grabbed from there.
BTW, I have every release of ZSNES from later half of 98 until first half of 2001 on a CD somewhere, if need be, I'll dig it up.
I specifically remember downloading v1.0, thinking, cool C4 support, Windows version.
Then noticing some bugs that weren't present before, and getting a fix like 2 days later.
I also noticed how C4 emulation was lacking, and said to myself, one day I'll somehow fix it personally
