This game is coming out in a week (for windows, a mac port is coming out soon after) and it looks like it'll be quite the experience... I'm such a huge fan of 2-d games, especially exploration action/adventures. It looks very much like Ecco, with bits of Metroid/Castlevania and other such games. I'm going to have to wait for the eventual linux port (which seems like it will happen, after waded through 13 pages of forum), but I'm definitely willing to wait, and also to shell out some cash for it when it does come out. Gotta support the little guys!
Anyone else excited about this? It looks like a blast...

I'm of two minds on the graphics of this game. On the one hand, the art looks really good. On the other hand, the animation on some of the characters (especially the player character) looks distinctly flash-like. And if there's one thing I absolutely fucking loathe it's the flash-look.
If it turns out anything like Metroid though (i.e. a deep nonlinear world where it feels you are making progress instead of the game pushing you along a narrow, limited rail like 99% of all the crap these days) then I'll get it, no question. But unfortunately it's impossible to tell from the screens or trailers. I'll have to hear from those who play it.

you have two other hands??? how odd. I've heard a lot of people say this, but I think it's because her different parts aren't all one sprite, here legs move independently, and I like her cloak, although her swimming animation itself could use a little work but eh. whoteva.
Seriously, what kind of asshole makes an old-school 2D emulator that requires a Core 2 to get full speed? >:(
