Ipod/PSP question

Im looking at either a PSP or a ipod touch, mainly for the wifi web browsing, I only have one question:

how do they handle 80 column text? Im open to any other suggestions.

Go iPod, much better interface and it has a proper browser.

an oldish laptop would be cheaper than an ipod touch and much more usable than an iphone. You'd get flash and everything.
