Bleh, p2p kailerra doesn't resync upon connection loss which is terrible
i had a look at emulink and couldn't get it to work but i found on there site a list of servers which work fine with the original kailerra client.

well, it hardly desynced on connection loss either. it just lagged till connection was restored.
My motherboards integrated NIC appears to drop out at random intervals for less then a second at a time and I have tested the network cables, tried all connection ports on the router and the problem remained. our other computer works fine though on all ports.
When my NIC drops out and looses connection to the router, kaillera would simply lag for the split second that i am disconnected for but the P2P kailerra always dropped out and stayed disconnected when it occurred.
EDIT: is this NIC behavior consistent with a overheating NIC?

I think you might be right o_O i looked and disabled Sleep Power Saving Mode and all appears to be working fine ^_^. now we can play via p2p at blazing speeds and not be slowed by a server.

The driver manufacturer IS my motherboard manufacturer. I already complained about it and RMA'd the motherboard and they sent it back after a while. Soon after, I found one of the USB ports to not function* (*new issue) (right next to the Ethernet port) as well as the Ethernet connection still randomly dropping. I had a look at the manual and found both the Ethernet chip and the Ethernet+USB ports are directly under the video card thus was starting to think the 2 may be suffering from heat from the Video Card.Deathlike2 wrote:That's nice. See if you can complain to the driver manufacturer to fix that... although, the worst case is if it were a hardware bug.
However upon actually looking at the case, I forgot that the primary x16 PCI-E slot is not near the NIC or the affected ports so there is no major heat generating component near them.
bleh long story short, I had a look at the driver settings and turned off that one option mentioned in my previous post and all seems to be fine
