Back to reading 101. There's -ADD-, and there's -BONUS-. Two separate words, on two separate lines. The reason why you think they're to be united goes beyond me.
Anyway. ADD reports any status effect-affecting specialist. One ball per specialist.
BONUS reports the specialists that don't fit elsewhere, those that don't increase stats and are unrelated to status ailments. Armsmasters, for example.

2) What do Gangsta and Manager specialists do?

Gangster add Deprave ailment % to your attacks (and would be counted in -ADD-).
Manager increase the Mana you get by % (and would appear in -BONUS-).

Forgot to mention - Deprave is mostly retarded to try and affect enemies with. It's like you're instinctively attracted to sucky things.

Item generals/kings/gods/god 2s affect item level growth. Probably way too complicated for you, just kill them.

By percent. Points would be retarded when a level can be as high as 18299454 exp.
How about reading FAQs that are actually helpful, instead of stopping at the first one (since it's bullshit).

Thanks a ton for the help =) I did read up on the specialists already so I knew what they all did except the item king etc. Thanks for pointing out Add and Bonus are seperate things and confirming that experience is boosted by a percent, as hinted by another guide I had read.

I am looking into geting Disgaea 2 too, just gotta see if the Electronics Boutique store (gamestop) in Western Australia has a copy and if they can transfer it to a store in Queensland.
