If you've been following the conversation, he was naming things like "this is from that, that is from that" as if it's supposed to be a patchwork of directly copied parts. Which it just isn't.
And if that sounded upset to you, well whatevah. He started with the asshat comment. D:

I thought he meant more like they were using recognizable elements from the different boxes.

As, indeed, I DID mean.
And Blackmyst, Megaman 2's box is NOT wierd in the same way as Megaman 1. They use totally different styles.
It's wierd in a unique and different way.
If actually thinking about it instead of just going "LOL MEGAMAN 1" makes me a silly geek that overanalyzes things... well, whatever. I'm sure the artists would be glad that ONE person noticed the references.
I'd like a MM sequel in any of the series' that didn't use the goddammed teleporter. Each time they start a new sub-series, they don't use the teleporter, and instead incorporate the bosses into the levels. This works so much better, IMO.
just beat the game for the first time with 44% of the challenges complete.
and quick shot G is ridiculous... i think you need to get lucky and have him just charge you at the beginning to stand a chance of getting it. add to that that i'm absolutely miserable at hitting him with the proper weapon... (not elaborating further for anyone who hasn't played yet but doesn't want to see weaknesses)
The rotating magnet platforms in Tornado Man's stage are riding on magnet beams from the first game.
And they're using the original style hard-hat enemy, that tilted to fire instead of standing up.
And the fire weapon is chargable.
mm3 rush jet made the mm3 rush marine pointless. and god, yes, it was abusable, especially on the fake wily machine - just float up right next to the cockpit and blow him away
not to mention that it would stay under you if you jumped off of it, but only draw energy while you were actually riding it - it was the world's best safety net.
