Controller recommendation?
Hey, im lookin for a controller to use with Zsnes because im tired of keyboard.
I have had 2 suggested to me which are a Phllips retractable and a Dual action logitech.
Will those 2 have enough buttons to support the SNES fuctions aswell as save state buttons, rewind, and fast fwd?
Lastly, does anyone use anything else they can recommend to me?

My recommendations (as I've said time and time again):
1) Saitek P880 Pro
2) PSX -> USB converter
3) XBox S controller modded for use on the PC
however I've heard nothing but good things about the Logitech Dual Action, IIRC Agozer has one.

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Don't get the Dual Action. While it does work most of the time, it has far too many issues that might pop up at random.
Using the latest Logitech software plus disabling the Profiler helps too. Rumblepd 2 has none of these issues and has rumble too (not really useful for ZSNES, but nice for Nintendo 64 and PC games).

Probably depends on WHICH PS pad you're using.Johan_H wrote:So you're the one who snatched that nick >:U
PSX controller works fine for me, the D-pad can be annoying sometimes though.
My DualSuck is a horrid horrid device.
Apparently Sony had 2 manufacturers for Dual Shocks, and one made damn good pads while the other made damn awful pads.
My pair of DualShock 2s are a lot more generic. They aren't great, but they don't raise blisters.
I had a DualImpact I absolutely LOVED, but it died.
AFAIK, older DS2 (I think Made in Japan) has shiny plastic (surface and front buttons) like the first DS (at least that one which came with SCPH-7502), the later one has different surface, a dull one (SCPH-90004 CB) and is Made in China. I didn't use much the first type, so I cannot really tell the difference in practice, but for me the newer one's surface is a bit better.Gil_Hamilton wrote:Probably depends on WHICH PS pad you're using.Johan_H wrote:So you're the one who snatched that nick >:U
