Saitek P150

Post by Cloudy »

Hi all,

I just recently came into possession of a Saitek P150 gamepad. I've been able to get it to work fine with ePSXe, but I'm having trouble getting it to work with ZSNES. It's a USB controller, and whenever I try to set the buttons/controls in the Input menu on ZSNES it doesn't respond. I went to Control Panel -> Game Controllers and calibrated the controller, tested it, and it works fine there. I'm not really sure what else to do.

I searched the forum for P150-related inquiries and came up with this:

However, when I tried what Narkaleptic posted in the last post in that thread nothing happened. Would anyone mind helping me?

Might have to update the control pad's drivers & software, you can get them from here:

Because I have the P2600 and GTA III (I know an old game) wouldn't reconise my control pad until I updated it's software and drivers :(

Saitek's pads are generally good about conforming to HID gaming device spec. You shouldn't NEED drivers.

In fact, according to Saitek...

Q1: I did not get a driver CD with my P150 pad, do I need one?

A1: No. The P150 is a generic USB device that was designed to use drivers that are already integrated into Windows. Just plug the pad in and Windows will detect and install the pad for you

No throttle? Well, that nixes my guess.

I had a similar problem with a Saitek P2500. ZSnes would not get input from it. Uninstalling the Saitek drivers and plugging in the gamepad again, letting windows choose drivers, did the trick.
