Gonna be a long story here but please do play along for a moment. It'll all make sense at the end I promise. I did do some searching around for help, not a lot I'll admit cause what I did find wasn't anywhere near what I had happening.
First, I make Let's Plays. Been doing it for longer than I care to admit. Our story starts here...
This morning I sat down and recorded myself an episode using Fraps, as I always do. My ZSNES settings are as follows:
1024 * 768 DS F
Triple Buffered
HQ Filter
Been using this setup for well over a year and it's been great.
So I sat down and recorded an episode. Shut down ZSNES and Fraps, did nothing else on the PC, but left the room for a while... got some coffee did some housework etc etc. I came back and booted up Fraps and ZSNES again and...
My screen isn't centered anymore. If you were to look at the top left of the screen the Menu Bar starts at just about the "e" in "Game" instead of being a full center stretch.
Nothing changed between Episode 1 and Episode 2 on the pc. Nothing was installed, updated, uninstalled, refresed, freshed, unrefreshed... nothing happened. It was exactly where I left it.
Now, I've been fiddling with different resolutions on and off and I've found that the only one that's working for me now is 800 * 600 DS F. While that works, it's not as pretty and doesn't work as well with the edited down version of the videos that I put out there for the public.
So, while I can use 800 * 600, I'd rather use 1024 * 768 as it works better with my compression.
Now dig this... I tried to screen shot it so I've have something for you guys to see... and in the screen shot it's fine. In the videos it's fine, but there's a good 2 inches of screen cut off when I wanna try and play the game.
I have done the ol' restart and all that with no luck.
Any ideas? Requests? Comments? Ridicule? Praise?

Re: Off Center Full Screen
Do you have a camera to photograph what you're seeing? Is this a desktop or laptop? What sort of monitor? What connection type? If you're using VGA with an LCD monitor, try the auto adjust option, or mess with the sync options yourself.
Maybe these people were born without that part of their brain that lets you try different things to see if they work better. --Retsupurae

They aren't great but here's some pictures.

This is a desktop, normal ol' "Free with your new PC" Dell LCD Monitor (IN1910N). Going VGA as it's the only option with this one.
It's set to auto adjust and I have tried that. I've also gone in and fiddled with it myself with no luck.
Sad panda am I.

Re: Off Center Full Screen
I'm wondering of any sort of power saving mode for your monitor is coming into play. It shouldn't happen on its own, but not doing stuff on the keyboard usually allows monitor power saving to trigger.
A reboot is in order IMO.
Edit: It could also be some sort of refresh rate issue... try changing it and see what happens.

See here's the thing, nothing... and I mean nothing... changed inbetween episode 1 and episode 2. Maybe the position of my mouse moved an inch or two but other than that nothing.I have done the ol' restart and all that with no luck.
I have no power saving settings or anything like that on. The refresh rate didn't change because... nothing changed.

Re: Off Center Full Screen
I'd still tinker with the refresh rate, just to be sure. Usually that should trigger the monitor's auto-adjust feature (and potentially self-correct itself).
Alternatively, you could force ZSNES to a specific refresh rate and see if that helps (you could do it either from the DXDiag refresh rate override or through a command line switch to do it).
