linux installation advice for n00bs

Post by Ultra »

Hey,
I want to play some games with one of my friends who uses Linux
The problem: She has no idea about it whatsoever and can't install software. She relies on her brothers, which are at home three times a year.
I have never used Linux and can't help her.
But since she is completely helpless, i want to install zsnes for her and I have read the FAQ but I have still no clue.
In where do I have to type this code?
thanks!

You'll have to open a terminal window (which IIRC should be gnome-terminal)

then you can just copy and paste that string of commands right in.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?
NSRT here.

She has to do it.
On her computer.

Not yours.

Just in case that wasn't obvious.
