Replying to this thread with my iPhablet. Previously I disapproved a dozen spam posts with my phone, as I usually clear all that shit before I can wade through the new posts page for real content.
I needed grin's help last week, though. One of the spammers managed to rack up over 1400 unapproved spam posts before jumping ship, and there was No Fucking Way I was going to disapprove those 35 at a time through the moderator control panel. Only administrators can pull the plug on an entire account and its entire post history.
Oh, and when grin fired his big guns, he managed to break the forum again and had to fire the Repair Tables gun again. Lovely software, this PHPBB. Also helps that we're probably not using InnoDB tables with full row level locking, so huge operations like mass user deletions tend to break while other people are still posting while the delete is taking place. Fuckings to MyISAM.
