But please do NOT request ports to other systems.
Here's my feature request and my rationalization for it. I would like to be able to map key commands (such as exit, fast forward, save state, etc...) to combinations of 2 or more joystick buttons being held down at once. It would be kind of the opposite of the macro key option already in place. I'm getting a SNES pad adaptor soon and I would like to be able to operate a frontend and ZSNES hooked up to a TV without a keyboard or mouse. Since there are no extra buttons on the SNES pad, I would like to be able to at least exit by pressing someting like Start+Select, or L+R+Start. If any unique combination could be mapped, then you would be able to do a lot without needing a keyboard.
This would be rather complicated the way the current code works. Without a major rewrite of the joystick handling code it would be very hard to add. Unless you are willing to take such up such an undertaking (required assembly knowledge) then I don't think this is going to happen too soon.
