Based on the extremely little amount of information you have provided as to your problem, I'd have to say it was caused by you deleting the patch.

Sigh. Can't you even look at the documentation?
If you can't do that, can't you even look at the settings in the GUI?
If you can't do that, can't you even look around the forum?
It is now an option. Check the 'enable auto-patch' setting under options.

Nice info you got there.vadimur wrote:As above.

It is not straightfoward, becuase this function is not broken.vadimur wrote:Hmm...i thought it's pretty straightforward.
I tried playing a rom...say '123', actual rom is '123.smc' zipped as '123.zip' with patch '123.ips' put in the same dir as the rom, but game is not patched when i tried playing it.
P.S. 'auto-patch' is ticked.
The IPS file needs to be in the same directory as your saves and srms, not the ROMs.
Also, the Ips shouldn't have the same same as the .zip file, but as the ROM file inside the zip.
Alternatively, just place the IPS inside the .zip with the ROM file. Then it can have any name and will still be applied.

Gotcha!!!

Guess what!!!
I did exactly the opposite & it worked!!
The IPS file must be put in the ROM directory & the IPS must have the same name as the zipped filename, not the rom filename.
So much for the documentation & advices, but thank you.
