Feature Request: ZSNES can load .nes game
As Visual GameBoy Advance can load GB or GBC as well, if the ZSNES can load it to get more comfortable, may be not work perfect but it so cool

Are you asking that ZSNES support Nintendo ROM's or.. just that ZSNES support a *.nes extension when loading ROM's? If it's the former, no would be your answer, theres a ton of perfectly good NES emulators out there already.. If it's the latter, eh.. Why not just rename the extension? It'll only serve as confusion to some people by adding that.

See, the GBA actually had the hardware to run GB(C) games on it, so having a GBA emulator be able to run GB(C) games is quite accurate. However, the SNES had no capability to run NES games, so adding an NES emulator to ZSNES would mean writing an entirely new emulation core.
On a side note, the CPU used in the SNES had a compatability mode, and some speculate that Nintendo originally intended to have backwards compatability. Whether or not that was really the case, the final product certainly didn't.

Actually, the hardware is roughly similar.Noxious Ninja wrote:See, the GBA actually had the hardware to run GB(C) games on it, so having a GBA emulator be able to run GB(C) games is quite accurate. A GBA in GBC mode is operating under a diffrent hardware configuration, with a diffrent processor active, than a GBA.
As I understand things, the only real similarity between GBA and GBC mode is the sound chip.
VBA only runs 8-bit GB games because Visual Boy was integrated into VBA.
That's also why it is, to my knowledge, the only GBA emu with 8-bit support.
