Strange bug on loading latest WIP under FreeBSD

Post by CyberBotX »

Well, I'd noticed on the WIP pages with the previous WIP (July 10th 2005) that Nach made the configuration files be converted to text so that way the configuration files wouldn't need to be deleted with each update to ZSNES. Well, the July 10th 2005 WIP worked nicely. Then I saw the July 24th WIP today and decided to compile that. When I loaded ZSNES, all I got was a blank screen that I could not even ALT+ENTER out of, even though my previous video mode was one of the windowed OpenGL modes. I had to kill the ZSNES process from the command line, which I'm lucky to have been able to get to since my keyboard inputs were still being accepted by the X server. After removing my configuration files and redoing my configuration settings, everything was fine with no problems. Just bringing it to your attention that this happened, as it doesn't seem like it should have.

You can blame Aerdan's video change.
Simply editing zsnesl.cfg and changing the video mode would have fixed it.

zsnesl.cfg has nothing to do with my text config file changes to zguicfg.dat.

Ah, I see. Well that explains it then. At least it wasn't a fatal bug that killed my X display. :P
