For some reason, and this has been happening more frequently, when me and a friend are playing a game over the net, it seems to totally desynchronize, but we can still chat and are still connected. For example, the other night, we were playing Uniracers and we finished the second track, and I believed I had won(was informed as much by the game), and the game showed his unicycle as just idling on the track, but then he tells me that he won by 2 seconds and was in the graph screen at that moment. Has anybody else had this problem?
I disabled UDP and changed the port number, and that solved the same problem for TMNT 2, but it is present in other games. Me and my friend are both on high speed connections, I have DSL, and he is using Cable. I am in NY and he is in AZ, but we have played PC games like SW Battlefront and Empires: Dawn of Modern World with few problems, so I don't know what to think. Help would be greatly appreciated, this is really annoying as it is like we are playing completely different games at times.
strange netplay problems...

ok, I downloaded 1.42n, but now we can't start the game, sometimes it freezes when loads a game, and sometimes it says "no movie processing" over a black screen and then crashes - and I know the game should work as it worked just yesterday with netplay.
*EDIT* correction - he just told me he hadn't even started the game yet, it just crashed after chatting for a little while.
