What is wrong with you?

If it's made to look and play exactly like the old games you like, why wouldn't you like it? If someone dug this up online and said DOOD UNRELEASED BETA you'd probably be all over it. What's the difference, besides the price tag?

You don't have to blow in the cartridge slot and jiggle it to keep it from giving you the "blinking middle finger of doom" screen. Without that, you're not Playing with Power™.

C'mon, man, seriously. Don't you know this? ;)

Also supposedly no slowdown, sprite flickering and some other slight breaking of NES restrictions.

It would be both awesome and horrible if they made a squished 50 hz version of this.

Haha. A Wiiware game with built-in classic NES problems that you have to call and troubleshoot... that's exactly what we need.

YES!

If I were developing it, I WOULD do that.

I thought that by this time and age, it was well established that Neo Kaiser makes no sense.

Also, yesterday I boot up my MMAC (GC, shut up, I know the control setup is less than stellar, I still manage to play just fine, it was weird at first though.) And played some Mega Man 2, man, I read the intro just for kick and realized that it's supposed to take place in the year "200X"...

We currently in the year 2008, they have less than 2 years to build megaman, and have the events of the first Mega Man game happen.

I can't wait!

I did the exact same thing, just it was on PS2 instead.

...after I tried it on NEStopia and realized there's some truly nasty controller latency (hello, dropping platforms in Bubbleman's stage). I might not have the latest version, but I do remember reading something about that in the NEStopia thread a little while back.
At least that explains why I was getting my ass handed to me in Zelda... I didn't think I sucked THAT bad nowadays!

I think he means he wants genuine 8-bit rather than a semi-imitation.

Either way, Capcom will probably fuck this up as they have any mainstream MM release since... fuck, 2003(That was the year MMX7 came out, I believe.).

Assuming that's how it's read.

It may be 20010, or something totally fucked.
Like 200 X instead of 2008 AD.

In later installments you can see 20XX and in the X series you see 21XX, IIRC.

New Megaman 9 footage! And thank god they're putting it out for the 360 and ps3 seeing as I don't own a Wii.

Going to 8 bits on this days. I do hope that the game is cheaper than a original NES cartridge. It is just that after seeing MM7 on 16 bits and MM8 on 32 bits and then MM9 back to 8 bits don't make any sense unless this game is a gaiden and not cannon. It is not like this world is full of retroids.

It doesn't really make sense when you think in the sense that sequels should always be pushing graphical boundaries (like the SNES transition to 7, and the ps1 transition to 8), but those rules aren't set in stone.
Anyhoo, the game is going to be 1000 wii points, which is a lot when you think about that equaling an n64 game in the wii shop, but I'd prefer not to have that mindset...

Yeah 1000 points is a little steep. MM1-6 games where famous for their game play and not because they where on 8 bits. MM3 was easy because of the trick with the second player controller.

It would of been the good ole brick controllers if I didn't sell my original nes for a super scope. Later I brought a nice NES 2 with those dog bone styled snes controllers. Both seem to work good enough for me. It'd be nice if they had some adapters for the 360 though.

I am so excited for this game, I swear they can read my thoughts and put out exactly what I have been talking about for years. And 1000 wii points is an excellent deal, I would buy this for a full wii game price of 50 bucks.

Time to bust out my old mega man avatar I think...

I wish they'd put it on the DS though. Or PS2.

Something other than the next gen consoles.

The distribution costs would be significantly higher, though.

Indeed.

However, I think Capcom would get a lot more sales of this thing if they did so. People would buy a DS version easy...

1000 points is good enough. It's a steal for a full Mega Man game.
