Not sure if you noticed this, which I mentioned previously:
BTW (still talking to AamirM here), what is the reason for your new avatar?85cocoa wrote:the emulator crashes if you exit it while while Street Fighter II': Champion Edition is running.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)
I did notice it but it didn't happen on my PC. So I didn't investigate it further. Not sure if you noticed this, which I mentioned previously:
Because I like something hot and REAL (maybe read: natural). So screw those games/anime avatars.BTW (still talking to AamirM here), what is the reason for your new avatar?
Another reason, when someone sees my avatar, they'll know I am a purist

@AamirM:
Regarding my last post: Sorry for not giving more information about my system specs right off the bat - I just sort of took it for granted that the bankswitching used by Street Fighter II Champion Edition was likely to cause a bug somewhere.
I'm not sure where to start, though - to give me some ideas, what CPU and OS are you using? (I don't think any of my antivirus/firewall software is at fault since nothing relevant shows up in their log files, nor does temporarily disabling any of them help. Nor is anything wrong with my RAM, as repeated runs of Memtest86+ seem to demonstrate.)
I have ruled out the following settings within Turbo Engine 16 as possible causes: Disable Sound, SuperHQ and Low pass filter (under Sound); Autopause, Disable Screensavers, and Show FPS (under Misc); and various settings involving window size/aspect ration. I will continue to troubleshoot this and will get back to you if I find out anything.
In the future, can you please try to reply at least to acknowledge that you are unable to reproduce my bug? Thank you.
BTW, the "Brighten" video setting doesn't have a checkmark in the menu to indicate when it is enabled (by comparison, it does in Regen).

I must've forgotten. Anyways, I'll try to make sure that it doesn't happen again. In the future, can you please try to reply at least to acknowledge that you are unable to reproduce my bug? Thank you.

Again, it doesn't happen here (that is, the check mark appears correctly). What Windows are you using?BTW, the "Brighten" video setting doesn't have a checkmark in the menu to indicate when it is enabled (by comparison, it does in Regen).
Sorry I have been busy with schoolwork for quite a while.
I haven't had a lot of time to look for bugs in Regen, which is why you haven't seen me on that forum in a while.
Anyway, as for the previous issue with Bonk's Adventure having the wrong colors when loaded after a SuperGrafx game, I have found that the same symptoms result when you try to run Bonk's Adventure itself as a SuperGrafx game. So maybe the problem has to do with the emulator not switching back to a standard PCE system after a SGX game has been run.
Also, the recent games menu as currently implemented has no way of remembering whether a game uses the SuperGrafx. The best solution I can think of is to have the INI file keep track of some additional parameters of the form "FileHistoryNIsSuperGrafx=".
As for the other two issues which you are unable to reproduce, sorry for being at all reluctant to give my system specs. Here they are:
Dell Inspiron 1720
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9300
4.0 GB DDR2 (dual channel?) RAM
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
320GB 5400RPM hard drive
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 (<- I'm guessing maybe you are using Windows XP?)
UAC is disabled
Security software: COMODO Firewall 3.8.65951.477, Avira AntiVir Personal 9.0.0.387, ThreatFire 4.1.0.25 (I have ruled all of these out as causes of my problems as far as disabling various real-time protection settings, but I have not tried uninstalling any of them. The links are provided only for educational purposes; I do not mean to advertise anything.)

Yeah, I found it out a while ago (but forgot to mention here).
