Ditto. It's fun to abuse physical attacks against enemies who can be hit in their stun/knockdown animations. Captain Duck volleyball, anyone?Deathlike2 wrote:On the original console, yes. Unfortunately, not with multitap.Johan_Hanberg wrote:Has anyone else played the entire game in MP?

Fireball's damage was swapped with Lava Wave though.. as far as I can tell anyways. (This has nothing to do with the hack, this is specifically an SOM error.)News

Well, SOM was never really "finished" properly (bah to the fabled SNES CD). FF6 bugs are composed of a battle engine that never properly tested every crazy ass theoretical combo. Sometimes when you add something cool, you may forget that something else doesn't quite work properly.Gil_Hamilton wrote:I'm always amazed at how buggy SoM and FF6 are.
It's like Square just decided beta tests were for sissies.

I know on SoM. It's still a tad stunning at times.Deathlike2 wrote:Well, SOM was never really "finished" properly (bah to the fabled SNES CD). FF6 has some just plain dumb mistakes, though. Like evade not being used for anything.
The infamous "sketch bug," while not being just completely out in front, is amazing in just how BIG it is.

Well, the evade+vanish/doom bug is pretty bad. When the Force Shield and other Magic Evade blocking equipment is blocking weapon hits, it should be damn obvious sooner or later.Gil_Hamilton wrote:I know on SoM. The Sketch bug was fixed in US v1.1 AFAIK. However, that bug is hard to have envisioned being triggered under many normal circumstances.

My original FFIII cart was actually defective in some way - I ended up with a presumably corrupt game save in the Fanatics' Tower. (Climbing to the top triggered the swarm of followers that prevented you from leaving, but never triggered the boss fight.) Fortunately, it was within warranty, and after I sent the cart to them and they duplicated the issue they sent me a replacement.
Deathlike - Thanks for the links and the news update on the patch.

Honestly, some of the glitches(like self-destructing enemies) are just hilarious.

Funnily the french PAL release (aside from the horrible translation - I still got a major grudge on that effin' Veronique Chantel) is pretty low on bugs.
