MadCatz USB PC Controller Problem...
Moderator: ZSNES Mods
I've got this controller and frankly I won't play ZSNES much until its fixed. This pains me a great deal because this emulator is light years ahead of everything else. The main draw to this controller, for me anyways, is its excellent D-Pad, something seriously lacking in pretty much all PC controllers these days. But this is just me poking faults at an otherwise excellent emulator. Keep up the good work.

I used to use a PS2 2 USB adapter plug, but then my girlfriend got the Mad Catz Xbox-wanna be controller for the PC and now I'm finding the exact same issue.
The odd thing is, the L trigger is the only trigger not responding correctly. The R trigger (same analog throttle style) Functions correctly and without issue. When I hit NONE under the Input #1 config and go to configure the controller, if I use a Black or White button to configure L, the R trigger sets (and responds during games) the way it is supposed to. I tried setting the R trigger to both, and it took that too. Didn't work too well in games though
The controller calibrates fine in the Calibration Wizard, and XP picked it up right away. I tried downloading the Xbox2PC driver from Mad Catz, but XP wouldn't allow me to use that .inf for the controller.
So I think it has something to do with the L trigger (X Rot), as the R trigger (Y Rot) and right thumbstick (Z Ax, Z Rot) respond expectedly.
