The stereo sound is most appreciable thing.... can't live w/o it.If you want to be utterly anal, then you can turn off the Stereo sound if you had only a Mono TV with a single speaker. The chances of someone in the the early '90s having a stereo TV or rigging up stereo speakers is IMHO slim. Stereo sound sounds completely different in certain games to Mono (Zelda being one).
