MAME32
MAME32 FX
MAME32 Plus

There could be other versions but these 3 are the most important ones. There are rumors about a 64 bit version called MAME 64 but this is just a rumor.
MAME is also available for windows FROM THE MAME TEAM.

Just because you're too big of a sissy to use a command-line doesn't mean there's no such thing as an official Windows build.
32 versions > Command line.
MAME32 versions = late and locked to a crappy GUI.

Anyways, as MAME32 builds use the official Windows version code, I think the official Windows version is far more important, even if it's less popular due to rampant sissy-fication of emulation users.
There's various frontends for the command line version.
I actually use one(Emuloader, though I really liked ArcadeOS for it's pixely feel and I wish it was still around). I have too many games to remember which ones I have anymore.
I still do most of my config via .ini editing, though. Notepad, whee!

I've got a long-standing hatred for MAME32, going way back to when they were rewriting the DOS version to make a Win32 build, and locked out several games because they didn't realize some of them existed.
Looks like they may have reworked the GUI, but I'm not going to register with FilePlanet just to find out.
I think that MAME32 Plus is just a frontend because it include the command line.
Yes I know that my grammar sucks!

No, MAME32 Plus! is not "just a frontend". The command line version was just added for those who like to use it or are using a cabinet.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

yeah emubase is good, but they haven't updated in a bit.

luckily my IGN account allows me to get stuff from file planet. I still have to wait in line as I am not a "full member" but usually there is no wait, so it doesn't matter.
Seriously, what kind of asshole makes an old-school 2D emulator that requires a Core 2 to get full speed? >:(
