Cool, keep those obscure webcomics coming. Here's another one: Garfield Minus Garfield.
And this is my desktop:

neither xkcd or garfield minus garfield are obscure
especially not the latter, since it was digged like mad earlier this year
www.asofterworld.com
maybe a little more obscure

Oh, thanks for the link. I've heard about that comic before, but never really got into it. Seems good though.byuu wrote:Neat. As a geek, I've never heard of that one before ... you'd think it'd come up on Slashdot or something.Franky wrote:The backgroung I have there is from an awesome webcomic called "xkcd" that I read.
Anyway, my desktop:
My wallpaper is from a fairly obscure webcomic, called "8-bit Theater."
Franky, you should check it out. It's at www.nuklearpower.com
Here's another one that I read:

Quite old now (the last strip was in 2004), but it's still awesome. I've read the entire thing many times, but I still go back and read it again time and time again.

(PS: You'd do well to put a thumbnail of that instead, and link to the full image)
IMHO it is VF-1X (Veritech Fighter 1X model)Not only is it a Valk cutaway, it's the BEST Valk cutaway!
All hail the VF-1J!

But the X isn't a single model. Any Valkyrie with the upgraded avionics and engines is a 1X, regardless of model. You can't identify an X from a cutaway sketch, only plot content.ZenDyzer wrote:IMHO it is VF-1X (Veritech Fighter 1X model)Not only is it a Valk cutaway, it's the BEST Valk cutaway!

The head module is the giveaway, really. The triangle face plate and twin lasers are only on the J head. Which is what makes the J more awesomer than the A and S models, since Macross doesn't do that silly custom unstoppable prototype crap.
And yes, I'm a raging nerd.
And you said Veritech! EWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyways, I'm using this as wallpaper right now:

In keeping the webcomic theme running, it's from http://threepanelsoul.com/ , the comic by those guys that used to do Mac Hall.
