Philips HP550 Headphones?
My headhpones
Has anyone seen a pair of these recently? I have a pair that's falling apart, but I really like them. Last time I had a pair falling apart, my friend happened to have a pair lying around (lucky), so I figured it's not completely impossible that someone might know where I could buy another pair...
They don't have to be brand new, but it would be nice if they were at least in good condition. And if someone just has a pair lying around, I'll totally buy them off you.
Also, not to be confused with these or these

When I bought my first pair they were 30 dollars, but since they're not produced any more I'm not expecting to find them for that cheap.
I was thinking about getting skullcandy headphones... I heard they have a lifetime warranty (maybe just certain models, I wasn't paying attention), but if I can find another pair of these I'd prefer them. Mostly nostalgia.

Better in my opinion:Demios wrote:AKG 240 S. Anything less would be uncivilized.

SR 60's are quite the best headphone you can buy for $60.
If you're looking to spend a bit more I'd recommend the Music Series 1

I have owned a pair of those. Time and time again, I return to my 240

I don't know about that. For $68 (I got them a bit cheaper from Amazon a year or so ago), I have the Sony MDR-V6 and they really give the Grados a run for their money. Professionals have used these in the music, movie, and TV industries for years.DOLLS wrote:Everyone wrote:SR 60's are quite the best headphone you can buy for $60.

I ended up choosing them over the Grados because they don't leak as much sound like the Grados (sealed) thus both decreasing external noise significantly and not leaking your music to disturb others in the room. The sound is extremely accurate. You're music will have new life hearing things you never heard before. And, you'll definitely notice the poor quality of your MP3s with these.
Though you'll likely have a winner on your hands with either.
