A simple keyboard problem.

Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

A simple keyboard problem.

Post by Someguy12 »

Hello, im new, and i got ZSNES for my smw ROM hack, but i've found it way better than i expected, so im using it a lot, but there is a problem i am coming across a lot.

i can't seem to use 2 buttons at once! i mean, like, the jumping while running in Donkey kong country 3, or Super mario world.

so, can you tell me how i fix this?

You've run into a limitation of most keyboards. Try rearranging your key assignments to see if you get lucky or just pick up a decent gamepad (which, IMHO, is a much better alternative).
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

ok, thanks.

i have an old gamepad, problem is, it has a cruddy c-stick, and only 4 buttons.

well, it doesn't matter, since they can't connect.

This doesn't sound right.

You need to map the keys via Config->Input, not the Key Comb Editor. You should be able to do at least 2 keys simulataneously.

zsnes 1.42 can support more than 3 keys simutaniously, but one of your keys can't be the shift button. :? Oh wow, that really was unnecessary, didn't see the time of the post.
