Is it possible to convert Zsnes DOS saves for Win version?

Post by Ersan_Hakki »

Hi, this is my first visit to the forum and I'm not sure whether the answer to my question is common knowledge or not. Before posting I was careful to read through other posts concerning saves, but none address the problem I face.

I have been using the DOS version zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator) for a long long time. However I finally decided its time to move on and get the new Windows version. Everything works fine, but all my saved games do not work anymore.

I have noticed that the file format of DOS saves are different to the new saved game files...is there any way to convert them?

P.S - the Old DOS version that I currently have installed is v1.36.

Thanks for your time.

Just rename the savestates to the complete name of the rom.

Example:

Super Nintendo Game.smc

Super~1.zst <- In DOS

Super Nintendo Game.zst <- In Win

And don't forget...

Super~1.srm <- In DOS

Super Nintendo Game.srm <- In Win

Hmm....I did try that before posting, but my Snes folder is really messy so I probably missed something.

Thank you for the very quick replies :D .

EDIT:

Just renamed everything and organised my folder. It worked so thanks again :).
